Hello friends, here comes the last event of the 1st year of Blog-a-Ton Calender. I hope you all are excited about the upcoming Blog-a-Ton Meets that take place a week before the event, on Jul 4, 2010.  

But first of all, lets welcome Wordsmithy who has joined us in our endeavour to reach newer heights. You will be blogrolled soon :)

So with this, I invite your suggestions for the topic for Blog-a-Ton 12. Please keep the following things in mind while suggesting.

• Each member can suggest only one topic.
• The topic should be general in scope, so that more and more Blog-a-Tonics can participate.
• If you like any suggestion, then please VOTE for it rather than giving a new suggestion.
• If you like a suggested topic but don't like the wordings, still VOTE for it and alongside suggest a new title for it.
• In case you have already suggested a topic but find some subsequent suggestion better than yours, you are allowed to vote for it. But this can be done only once.
• Rather than criticising the suggestions made by others, kindly give better suggestions.
• Give your suggestions and votes in the comments section of this post.
• Do not embolden your comment using HTML bold tag.
• Please keep these points in mind to make my job easier.

Camaraderie is the basic idea behind Blog-a-Ton and this meet is just an extension to it.

Time to REVEAL the BATOM 11

Before the World gets drenched in the Football Frenzy, its time to bring Blog-a-Ton 11 to an end. And as always, we bid farewell by declaring the Blog-a-Tonic of the Month.

Vibhuti Bhandarkar Nayak's attempt to bring all the detective legends - Hercule Poirot, Sherlock Holmes, and Robert Langdon - together in this cell-phone-laptop-USB drive era has bagged her the Blog-a-Ton of the Month award. Congratulations. Your BATOM badge award has been mailed to you.

Gyanban and Leo once again manage to grab the runners-up position. I wish them all the best for the coming editions.

P.S. As you all know that Blog-a-Ton will be celebrating its first anniversary soon and I had put up a discussion for the same. Some of you have shown interest in holding Blog-a-Ton meets but no one came forward to volunteer as a Meet Marshal, i.e., the person who'll coordinate the plans in his/her respective city.

The cities we are targetting are Delhi, Mumbai, Pune, Chennai, Kolkatta, Bengaluru and Hyderabad.

The event will be simple, without any pomp and show. Just some Blog-a-Tonics getting together over a cup of coffee or mugs of beer on July 4.

So, if you are interested, please volunteer as soon as possible or we'll have to ditch this idea.

Moreover, no one came forward to design the Hall of Fame badge for the veteran Blog-a-Tonics. If there is anyone willing to help me with it, please send me an e-mail.

As comments are being moderated due to ongoing voting for BATOM 11, I'll keep publishing the comments for this post at regular intervals.
