Replace the parameters highlighted in red with their actual values.
Remove the extra code in case you are voting for less than three entries.
3. While voting for a Blog-a-Tonic, use his/her name as provided by him/her in his/her participation entry and not his/her profile name.
Moreover, in case of double entries by that blog-a-tonic, don't forget to number his post as mentioned by him/her while commenting.
4. Post your vote in the comments section of this post.
5. All your votes should be posted in a single comment. So, take your time - go through all posts - only then decide your one or two or three favourites.
In case you vote separately, only the first comment will be taken into consideration.
In case you vote separately, only the first comment will be taken into consideration.
Now coming to the other rules:
- Voting ends at 2200 hrs (IST) on Aug 15, 2010.
- I have started moderating the comments and won’t display the voting comments till the end of this process to keep the result secret till its conclusion.
- After the voting code mentioned above, you may also add the reason, why you voted for a particular post to help others know what you expect as a reader. Moreover, you may also mention the other posts that you liked though you can vote for just one of them.
- In case of multiple entries by any blog-a-tonic, all his/her entries will be evaluated individually while deciding BATOM, i.e., the award will go to a post rather than the blogger.
The Votes will be discarded without any prior warning in case they are not sufficiently compatible with the rules.
So, if there is any query about voting or you do not find yourself blogrolled, feel free to drop in a mail. I'll try to get back to you asap.
Marshal's Tip : The more you visit others' entries and leave your genuine remarks, the more the others will visit your entry and more are the chances for your entry to be voted for.

I'm voting for the 3 posts below.
1. Rajlakshmi.
Her Post Link: HERE
2. Rumya
Her Post Link: HERE
3. Sid
His Post Link: HERE
Hmm, reading all of the posts(haven't commented for all yet, will do soon), many strong posts were there.
Even with three cheers to give, I felt it difficult to choose from those strong votes.
In the end, I've decided on these three.
Rajlakshmi, her shape poetry was attractive and creative.. It made me want to try the form, and felt like reading more.
Rumya, her loop poem flowed very well, and in few verses, she expressed an expecting mother's thoughts very well.
Ravan, he took a serious topic and blended the humor well. Till the last line, the twist was unexpected. Kudos for that.
Others that left me confused as to which to vote for were:
Tavish, Vipul, Vee, Gyanban, Vikas Khair, Binzy(1), Karthik, Intrepid Dreamer, A Dreamy Gal and Magiceye.

1. Leo, his postlink = Leo-Goodbye
Reason: The Amateur Poet, penned down a masterpiece, the character roles are very powerful, an outstanding narration and a unique thought on the theme, Goodbye. I am damn sure he is the BAT 13 and also deserves Zillion of claps.
2. Rumya; her postlink = Rumya-Goodbye
Reason: What a way to pen down a new begining, birth. I admire this post a lot.
3. Vee; his postlink = Vee-Goodbye
Reason: No words to describe his work..
Apart from these three, Mahesh Kalaal-Goodbye (What a way to express his thoughts that touched my soul) and Shilpa Garg-Goodbye(a thoughtful post) deserves Billion of claps and also to be in the top three.
A kind request to marshal, "Increase the vote count to 5 from 3, as it would help lot of people to deserve their votes", please consider this from BAT 14.
PS: If I am the marshal of BATON, then I would declare 75 winners(all the entries), as all the thoughts penned down deserves to be recognized as the best. Congrats for all the participants for their wonderful take on the theme Goodbye.

3. Leo; his postlink =
http://leonnyes.wordpress.com/2010/08/07/goodbye/

3. Dreamer; his/her postlink = http://gawdsowncountry.blogspot.com/2010/08/this-post-has-been-published-by-me-as.html
The Marshal because it was a very provocative story. Strong emotions were brought out, especially that of revenge. The words and style were very simple, casual conversation but a terrific and effective post. A well deserved vote!!
Sid because the topic Goodbye is usually associated with parting of ways. But this humor structure was excellently done especially in first person.
Dreamer because the last two lines of this Drabble lifts the entire post up a couple of notches. Unusual setting too...with the clown. The clown's Goodbye lingers in your mind long after you have read the post.
Other posts I enjoyed very much were from Gyan Ban, Leo, Vikas Khair, Tavish and Vee. Each on was memorable and coming up with my final 3 votes was a tough decision.
Cheers All!! :D
I feel that with every progressive BAT it becomes even harder for me to narrow down to top three.

3. Vikas Khair; his postlink = http://vikaskhair.blogspot.com/2010/08/goodbye.html
I have voted for Leo's post because it is heart-wrenching, has been narrated very well and it conveys a message too.The poem in the end makes it complete.
A restless mind with a restless soul's post because of the strong character of the female protagonist. The subject 'goodbye' has actually been treated in a different way.
Vikas Khair's post ,again, shows the strength of a woman. The flow of the story was amazing and it ended well.
Apart from these , I liked the following posts a lot:
GyanBan's post-which maintained a delicate balance between lots of facts and elegantly portrayed emotions.
Nethra's and Deepak's posts, again, leave the reader with a message.
RZaib's post actually makes the reader think about his past/present.

I had a really really tough time choosing my favs for this edition of BAT. Almost all the posts made for interesting and enjoyable reading.
Leo's story was very hard hitting and very well told. When I read Karthik's post I could actually visualize the sequence of events as they unfolded. As for Vipul, it is really hard to narrate a story placed in a timeline that you are not a part of.
I also really enjoyed Vibhuti's and Samadrita's posts and it was tough choosing three out of these five.

Congratulations to the participants and the winners!
ReplyDeleteIt was my first experience here, and truely it was a treat for my senses, as all the bloggers had to write about one topic, which surely brought out the various perspectives, various facets of one a single word "Goodbye". And it was very good topic, must say!
Thank you Vee! and Jaspreet for voting for me!
We all had a great time reading each other's posts! I enjoyed it thoroughly! Congrats Marshal!
