Vote for your BAT 59 Favorites

Voting ends at 19:59 hrs (IST) on July 26, 2020. Remember, that means time stamp of your comment can be at most 19:59 on July 26, 2020 and not 20:00 on July 26, 2020.

The curtain closes on a wonderful edition of Blog-a-ton, the 59th one. We had 19 entries this time, 10 more than what we had in our last edition. I would like to thank each one of you from the bottom of my heart for participating! Do comeback and vote for the entries worth winning!

We had 18 blog-a-tonics enter in this edition within the stipulated time. Only those 18 Blog-a-Tonics are eligible for voting. So feel free to vote for your B-A-T 59 Favorites.

Click here to check the fellow Blog-a-Tonics who took part in this edition of Blog-a-Ton along with the direct links to their posts.

Three Cheers to all the Blog-a-Tonics.

Please follow the following rules while voting.

1. ONLY THOSE BLOG-A-TONICS ARE ELIGIBLE FOR VOTING (i.e., Contesting for votes and voting for others) WHO HAVE PARTICIPATED IN THIS EVENT WITHIN THE STIPULATED TIME.

2. AS PER BLOGATON 3.0 GUIDELINES, THE NUMBER OF VOTES IS DETERMINED BY THE NUMBER OF ENTRIES. We have 18 entries this time. In this edition, you can cast upto 3 votes or cheers as we call them, and of course you can not vote for yourself. In short, you are allowed to vote for one, two, OR three. All your votes will carry the same weightage.

3.  Your Voting Comment should be as follows:

I, BLOGGER NAME, participated. My Blog-a-ton 59 Entry Is Here: BLOGATON59 ENTRY LINK

I vote for:

1. BLOGATONIC 1 NAME: His/her entry is here: BLOGATONIC 1 ENTRY LINK
2. BLOGATONIC 2 NAME: His/her entry is here: BLOGATONIC 2 ENTRY LINK
3. BLOGATONIC 3 NAME: His/her entry is here: BLOGATONIC 3 ENTRY LINK

The voting format has been simplified for assisting you. Replace "BLOGGER NAME" by your name, and "BLOGATON59 ENTRY LINK" by the direct link to your BAT59 Entry. Likewise, for the votes, replace "BLOGATONIC 1 NAME" by the name of the entrant (as used in his/her participation entry) and "BLOGATONIC 1 ENTRY LINK" by the direct link to that blogatonic's BAT59 Entry. Votes NOT IN THIS FORMAT will not be accepted.

For eg: A valid vote can look like this:

I, Vipul, participated. My Blogaton entry is here: http://www.vipulgrover.com/2020/07/unfinished-work-left-in-our-bags.html

I vote for the following:
1. Someone is Special: https://muppozhudhum.wordpress.com/2020/07/19/love-in-the-time-of-virus-the-lockdown-and-thereafter/
2. Leo: http://artofleo.com/2014/10/05/a-knot-in-time/
3. Amity: http://intelclub.blogspot.com/2010/10/train-of-thoughts.html

4. While voting for a Blog-a-Tonic, use his/her name as provided by him/her in his/her participation entry and not his/her profile name.

5. Post your vote in the comments section of this post.

6. All your votes should be posted in a single comment. So, take your time - go through all posts - only then decide your one or two or three winning entries. In case you vote separately, only the first comment will be taken into consideration.

Now coming to the other rules:

  • Voting ends at  19:59 (IST) on  SUNDAY, July 26, 2020.
  • I have started moderating the comments and won’t display the voting comments till the end of this process to keep the result secret till its conclusion.
  • After the voting code mentioned above, you may also add the reason, why you voted for a particular post to help others know what you expect as a reader. Moreover, you may also mention the other posts that you liked though you can vote for just for three of them.

The Votes will be discarded without any prior warning in case they are not sufficiently compatible with the rules.

A Reminder - Have your number of participations reached 10, 25 or 50??? Then you are eligible to be included into the list of Elites Blog-a-Tonics.  Just drop a mail to "pendownmythought@gmail.com" with the links to all your posts (or simply label all your BAT entries and send Marshal that single link).

A THOUGHT: Be it Gerneral Elections or Blog-a-Ton, it is your duty to vote, because you have the power to select the winner, so please DO NOT WASTE YOUR VOTE.

Remember, the time stamp of your comment can be at most 19:59 on July 26, 2020 and not 20:00 on July 26, 2020.

May the best entries in this edition win..!
Poetically Yours,
Marshal,
Sarav

  8. It was difficult to decide top 3 posts, so here I go with all the posts that I loved:

    1. Kshitij Khurana : His witty take on lockdown is a refreshing read and the way he has depicted the plight of all the people juggling in kitchen, in abscence of a househelp/cook. His Entry is here: http://dusht-ka-drishtikone.blogspot.com/2020/07/double-lockdown.html
    2. Someone is Special: Loved the detailing, it unfolded like a movie. His entry is here: https://muppozhudhum.wordpress.com/2020/07/19/love-in-the-time-of-virus-the-lockdown-and-thereafter/
    3. Unknownshri: An erotic story, depicting insides of our mind, narrated really well: https://wp.me/p2L81i-bL
    4. Tanaya Nath: Her effortless narration of a complicated love stroy. Her entry is here: https://tanayanath.blogspot.com/2020/07/the-divorce.html

    A Special Mention for:
Savitaa's "236. Investigators of Truth (InTru) & Siddesh Kabe's "9123" - Loved the innovation in your posts.
Smita's "Lockdown Reflections" & Chetan's - "5 things to do after Lockdown" - Both the posts were so optimistic and hopeful.
Vipul Grover's "Unfinished work left in our bags", Cherry Blossom's "Cliff Hanger" & Simran Kaur's "Never Had I Ever Told"
Mahesh Aadhya Kalal's "Lockdown Unlocked & Pavil's "Lockdown Effects" Both are such contrasting perspectives, shaking the reader!

    Happy Blogging!!

    Regrads'

    How I voted
The beauty of Blogaton is that since early editions (11 years ago), participants have been using various genres to come write on a single theme/title. It gives the readers so many flavours and doesn’t make the voting process monotonous for them.
While voting in this edition, I started with dividing the entries into poetry, short stories and non-fiction (as they covered all posts). The idea was to choose the best from each of these genres for the three votes.
However, I kept myself flexible to let go of any of these genres if another one were to have a strong second or even third contender. But as it turns out, I was able to choose the best from each and stick to those entries as the top-three overall.

Why the three got my vote
Kshitij Khurana: Who doesn’t like some poetic humour in these tough times
unknownshri: Undoubtedly the best piece of fiction. I really enjoyed and envied his writing
Smita: Her caterpillar’s anecdote was the clincher
