  1. I participated in BAT 14. My RETURN can be found: HERE

I choose to vote for the following:

    1. Rumya: HER POST LINK
For a poetic form, filled with intriguing rhyme and repetitions, she made the repetitions hold attention through the poem.. The creativity was good. Rumz, I'm loving the execution on your experiments!

    2. Zainab: HER POST LINK
For a first attempt at poetry, she kept her rhyme simple and her words simpler. I applaud her for that. Zainab, do more poems.. you'll just become better. All the best.

I could only decide these votes..
Others that came close to a vote were Shruti and Sadiya Merchant.

Thanks to all 64 participating Blog-a-Tonics..!

  2. I participated, Someone Is Special - Return

First of all thanks to Leo for suggesting a wonderful topic...

I vote for Leo, his post link Leo - Return

Reason: A powerful character kroora, and a painful truth behind it.. Yet another masterpiece from LEO. No more words needed to describe this sheer work of brilliance..

I vote for Karthik, his post link Karthik - Return

Reason: A mini novel penned down, If I read some of the works, I can say, narration is the key or the plot or the way of expressing but in his story I was mesmerized. I dunno what to say because this is the best in all the possible ways.. Loved it Karthik..

I vote for Zainab Urooj, her post link Zainab - Return

Reason: What a wonderful poem that was... The words touched my hearts, "Faith, love and trust. I'd walk on this road. for all I seek is the heaven 'Abode' A step towards the straight path For I know, 'Unto Him is the Final Return'". Lovely words... Well done Zainab..

Apart from these three, this time I love to mention all the post I enjoyed reading it. According to me all these people are deserved to be winners.

    8. Brijender - Return
Reason: Brijender, Interesting plot, Enjoyed the tale of Sayyad and Sidra.

    9. Nethra - Return

    10. Jaspreet - Return
Reason: A poem which describes to return to a childhood, one of the best form of return.

    3. Brijender; his/her postlink = http://brijendersingh.blogspot.com/2010/09/return.html

Shahid because it was an engrossing tale. Though it was a bit lengthy with too many characters to follow, I still feel it deserves a vote because of the ending. Beautifully done and an unusual take.

Leo because I liked the way the protagonist came back to terms with her life and that too through forgiveness. I always like stories with a positive end. A meaningful tale with showing reality and also how to deal with it.

Brijender because it was another long but constantly moving ahead and clean story. There were elements of mystery, myth and the use of good vocabulary throughout the post, gives it my vote.

    3.Vignesh; his/her postlink = HIS/HER POST LINK

Sid-Because of his hilarious yet touchy take on the prompt and the narrative too was smooth.
Brijender Singh-Because of the great combination of fiction+poetry+some facts in the post(an enchating tale). The choice of words and the smooth narrative made up for a wonderful read.
Vignesh-Because of his poignant tale of lost childhood which he conveyed using such few words and without any explicit mention.

It was really very difficult to chose since everyone had treated the prompt so differently and brilliantly.
Other posts that I really liked(in no particular order) are:
    1.Leo-for his brilliant narrative
2.Samadrita-For her different take on a prisoner's return to the maintream.
3.Aman Arora-for teaching us a lesson that trusting someone too much often leads to self-ruin.
4.Rinaya- for her very unique take-a poem based on flag's colors.
5.Cherry Blossom-for her truly touching mother son poem.

    I vote for -
    1. Shruti; her post = http://xperiences-in-life.blogspot.com/2010/09/return.html

    2. Rinaya; her post = http://mywhisperingsilence.blogspot.com/2010/09/return.html

    3. RiikaInfinityy; her post = http://riikainfinityy.com/2010/09/04/return/

    Here's why:
    1. Shruti - She narrated a pretty usual event (barring the end of course) in the most special way. I select this post less for the concept of return but more for the skills of the writer. I was giving points to all the posts in the BAT... and I gave Shruti the highest. Her post was a 'wow' for me.

    2. Rinaya - The poem shelled out the love for India. And I am very senti about our homeland. Moreover, when she said a 'rising overdue', it was just the kind of thing I have thought of so many times. It was an excellent poem. Cant really express what I felt on reading it. I wanted to thank her for writing it. Thank you, I say now.

    3. RiikaInfinityy (Ritika, I think) - Her post was like a dream. I could list so many different emotions I encountered while reading it. Plus: She experimented with music. And I love people who love experimenting. Her post was surreal, for me. Very beautiful.

And then, there were a few who I struggled big time to keep out of my third position (Shruti and Rinaya were always confirmed... Ritika got the third .. just ahead of the following):

-Zainab (poem that spoke only of purity)
    -Brijender (excellent tale)
-Tuppence (for the concept of returning to the pillow)
-Karthik (for the effort... and the story... had his end been a little different, he would have been in the top 3 for me)
-Manjunath (I just loved his post. A very unique one it was.)

This was my first BAT. I loved it. It's definitely not going to be the last.

    I vote for -

    1. Sadiya Merchant ; her postlink = Return

Happy Endings are endearing and her's was one which wasn't just puppy love but much more. Narrated as though she's sitting next to us and telling a tale. Strong and simple characters add the adrenaline factor.

    2. Raksha Raman; her postlink = Return

For daring to change a conservative post to something funky and just hours before the submission deadline. It's always nice to shake it up a little. Kudos for creativity!

    3. Brijender; his postlink = Return

Brijender your entry was a unique take on a tale of impossibles. You've always written with a certain degree of finesse and 'Return' only serves as a case in point. The exotic abyss was described not as a stony location but as a place capable of generating a whirlwind of a romance and that for me was a clincher.

I hope you'll be a winner in more ways than one.
